Galant Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Thought Leadership
The Galant Center undertakes research in innovation and entrepreneurial subjects. Through a gift by the 4K Foundation, founded by Brian Rogers (McIntire '84), the Center is currently supporting ongoing studies on donation methodologies for enhancing and encouraging intentional giving.
Featured Topics
Abundance and Intentional Giving
The Center is engaged in ongoing research on giving attributes and the attitudes that promote it. Work has already found that those who attribute abundance to material or physical resources are less likely to give than those who attribute their abundance to their faith, family ties, and other relationships.
Entrepreneurial Innovation
Through rapid prototyping and other quick-cycle processes, the Center often partners with HackCville to sponsor short courses in managing UX and design, digital media, investment pitches, and launching successful businesses across industries.
Startup Investing
Through a series of workshops and informal chats, the Galant Center hosts a variety of informative events designed to demystify the capital fundraising process, securing strategic partnerships, managing risk, accelerating growth for developing entrepreneurial ventures.
