McIntire’s collaborative, experiential approach to refining our highly regarded programs is the result of a longstanding and rigorous commitment. As we prepare our students for future success in global business, we ensure that our curriculum cultivates leaders who contribute to the greater good across multiple industries.

The Center supports programmatic advancements at McIntire and interdisciplinary scholarship, while its efforts strengthen community among business leaders, IT practitioners, UVA alumni, and McIntire faculty. 

The Galant Center is currently developing: 

  • “Alumni Re-Boot Camp”: A residential, multiday exploration of entrepreneurial opportunities available to alumni of all ages seeking a career change to startup founder, or interested in forming a new enterprise.
  • “D-1 “Launch”: An introduction to entrepreneurship taught to UVA athletes during the summer term.
  • “Innovation Dashboard”: A customized, multiweek assessment of organizational innovation capabilities led by McIntire faculty. The result is an “innovation prescription,” an actionable plan designed to enhance a company’s ability to prosper through organic growth.

"It is always helpful to present your ideas and have an opportunity to pitch to as many people and venues as possible, and the Galant Challenge was a great environment to have some judges and potential investors critique and give feedback to our plans. We were also able to get at least one additional investor in our fundraising round from the competition, which is always helpful during the capital fundraising process."
