About me:

Hi! I’m Tristan Chang, a fourth-year student at McIntire originally from Greenwich, CT, concentrating in Finance and IT, with tracks in Business Analytics and Quantitative Finance.

Throughout my time at UVA, I’ve been actively involved in various organizations that have shaped my experience. I’ve volunteered with Madison House, played on the UVA Men’s Club Ice Hockey Team, served as a Hoos Connected Facilitator, and participated in the Portico Impact Fund. Last semester, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in London at the City University of London.

Outside of school, I’m passionate about fishing, diving, and playing or watching sports. I’m a huge fan of the New York Rangers and New York Giants. Every summer, I spend time with my family in Rhode Island, where we fish for striped bass and bluefin tuna. Last summer, I caught my biggest fish ever—a 130-pound bluefin tuna!

My time at McIntire has been rigorous yet rewarding. The coursework emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, allowing me to meet and work with incredible students inside and outside of the classroom. The McIntire faculty is also extremely supportive and encouraging, they are always willing to offer guidance and are genuinely invested in my success. Being a part of this community has been a highlight of my college experience, and I’m excited to share that with all of you!

Fun fact: I can free dive up to 40 feet underwater, and I have a yellow lab named Tenley.
