Hometown: Sudbury, MA Concentration: Finance and Accounting
Hi! My name is Jackie Eng, and I am a fourth-year at McIntire, concentrating in Finance and Accounting. I am from a small town outside of Boston called Sudbury (yes, I am a Boston sports fan!). I chose to pursue a degree in Commerce because I’ve always been fascinated by how businesses operate and the strategies that drive their success.
Outside of the classroom, I have held leadership positions in my business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. I’ve enjoyed supporting our members through this role, and it is just one of the many leadership opportunities I have had here at McIntire. I also volunteer at a local Charlottesville elementary school and enjoy contributing to the community in a hands-on way.
In my free time, I enjoy running, hanging out with my friends, and exploring new coffee places around Charlottesville. I also enjoy traveling and participated in McIntire’s study-abroad program in Copenhagen last semester!
The McIntire community has provided me with a supportive environment that has pushed me to challenge myself academically and personally. I look forward to the rest of my time here and the opportunities it will bring to further develop my skills and connections with others!
Fun fact: I have always loved to run and enjoy exploring Charlottesville on foot!
