About me:

Hi! My name is Gillian Hedrick, and I am a fourth-year at McIntire, intending to concentrate in Finance and minor in Computer Science.

Currently, I am President of the Community Honor Fund, a campus ambassador for Girls Who Invest, and a Lawn Resident. During my first three years at UVA, I have been involved in many clubs and organizations on and off Grounds: a student consultant for SEED Consulting, a Residential Adviser and Staff Engagement Committee member for Housing and Residence Life, an analyst for the McIntire Investment Institute, and an oboist for the Charlottesville Symphony.

In my free time, I love running, playing instruments (I play the oboe and piano!), curating Spotify playlists, and photography.

My favorite thing about McIntire is that the classes are discussion-based. Hearing my peers’ bright ideas and diverse perspectives motivates me to think on a deeper level and become more creative, and I learn something new from my fellow students every day!

Fun fact: I flew in a hot air balloon before I flew in an airplane.
