About me:

My name is Elliot Foley, and I am a fourth-year concentrating in Finance and Management, with a minor in Spanish. My hometown is Maplewood, NJ, where I have been a volunteer EMT for the past four years. This experience has been extremely rewarding, despite being a Finance/Management concentrator and not going into the medical field. On Grounds, I am the President of Lean on Me (mental health hotline) and am a member of the Futures in Fashion Association (FFA). I have also volunteered at Mountain View Elementary School, where I helped students learn both English and Spanish. I am very passionate about becoming fluent in Spanish and know this will help me with my future business career!

So far at McIntire, I have enjoyed the collaborative setting of ICE Block discussions. Our professors allow us to share different ideas and perspectives, and it has helped me transform the way I think about business. I also like how ICE prepares students for the “real world.” We practice things such as delivering bad news and business negotiations.

I like to spend my free time with friends, explicitly going thrifting. My favorite items to thrift are vintage blazers so that I can wear them in professional settings.

I am so excited to be a part of the McIntire Ambassador team!

Fun fact: I was inspired by “Grey’s Anatomy” to become an EMT. Another fun fact about myself is that I was born on Christmas (everybody asks me if I like that birthday, and I never know what to say).
