Hometown: Richmond, VA Concentration: Finance and Accounting Minor: Public Policy and Leadership through Batten
Hi! My name is AnnTurner Barricklow, and I am a third-year student from Richmond, VA. At McIntire, I plan on concentrating in Finance and Accounting and am also minoring in Public Policy and Leadership through Batten.
Outside of the classroom, I am involved in several organizations on Grounds. I serve as Finance Chair for the University Dance Club, where I have been able to continue my love for dance. I am also the Project Leader for Enactus, a pro bono consulting club that works directly with nonprofits and socially minded businesses in Charlottesville. My team works directly with the Charlottesville Ballet on their market research and marketing efforts. Additionally, I serve as the Vice President of Finance for the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, take my two dogs on walks, and go shopping.
My McIntire experience has been absolutely incredible so far. I have really enjoyed the collaborative nature of the ICE block and being able to learn from my peers and their diverse perspectives. I have also loved the opportunity to form strong connections with my classmates, professors, and advisors.
Fun fact: Before this summer, I had never been outside of the country, but I was able to visit five different countries during my summer study-abroad program: England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Canada!
