Black Commerce Student Network

The Black Commerce Student Network at McIntire (BCSN) is dedicated to establishing a strong community and safe space for all Black students at McIntire. BCSN provides Black pre-Commerce and Commerce students with the support and resources to strengthen community and ensure continued success. The organization strives to increase McIntire’s level of accessibility to its Black students, and is committed to addressing its members’ professional needs in order to build corporate leaders who inspire their successors. Events

Third-Year “Pre-Orientation"

Fourth-year Commerce students welcome incoming third-years and help them prepare for the coming semester with advice on navigating the classroom, resolving team conflicts, and managing stress.

General body meetings

BCSN meets regularly to discuss the organization's goals and how to achieve them. At several meetings, guest speakers also discuss a wide range of topics.

EY networking event

The Office of Undergraduate Admission annually hosts a Business Skill Development Day event with Ernst & Young. First- and second-year students spend the day learning soft skills and workplace preparation and networking. The day concludes with a networking lunch with EY professionals and presidents of McIntire-affiliated affinity groups.
