Dragana Cvijanovic is the Robert M. White Jr. Bicentennial Professor in Real Estate Finance and serves as the Academic Director of the White Ruffin Byron Center for Real Estate.

Professor Cvijanovic comes to UVA from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business, where she held the HVS Professorship in Hotel Finance and Real Estate and was Associate Professor of Applied Economics and Policy at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration. She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the London School of Economics, and has previously held faculty positions at The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, Warwick Business School, and HEC Paris.

Exploring issues in real estate, household finance, and corporate governance, Professor Cvijanovic’s research has appeared in top journals including The Journal of Finance; Review of Financial Studies; Journal of Financial Economics; Management Science; and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. In addition to her teaching responsibilities and scholarship, she serves as a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute and has also served on the board of directors of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association.
