Hello! My name is Nick Steinhilber, and I am a third-year student from Gurnee, IL. I am concentrating in Finance at McIntire and plan to double major in Applied Statistics. At UVA, I served as the Secretary of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, and as a Director of Membership in SEED. These involvements, along with my education at McIntire, have truly shaped my college experience by helping me grow as a student and providing me with the opportunity to meet many amazing people.

I love studying with friends in Rouss & Robertson Halls, to the point where I have even been told I spend too much time there. Outside of school, I enjoy exploring Charlottesville restaurants and spending nights playing board games with friends. Beyond UVA, I am an avid golfer and love playing new courses wherever I travel.

My favorite part of McIntire so far has been spending time with my blockmates. It has been great to spend a couple of hours with the same class every day, and it has given me the opportunity to make many new friends and familiar faces when I walk around Grounds. It has also taught me how to build an effective group dynamic, a skill I know I will use daily in my career. Beyond that, I have been impressed by how helpful and collaborative the faculty are. Over the past few months, I have met so many great professors and advisers and learned so much from them.

Fun fact: I attended a high school with over 4,000 students, but I was the first person in 10 years to attend UVA.
